Our tips for taking care of your scalp

comment prendre soin de son cuir chevelu pour avoir des cheveux sains

A healthy scalp for healthy hair! It’s not a very common practice, but it is essential to take care of your scalp to promote hair growth. What are the steps to adopt for a healthy scalp and soft, shiny hair?

Why is it important to take care of your scalp?

The scalp allows the exchange of nutrients between our body and the roots of our hair. It is the foundation of our hair, so let’s take care of it to promote hair growth, reduce breakage, and keep it shiny! It protects our skin from pollution particles and styling products (hairspray, gel, wax) that can attack our hair directly at the root. If the scalp is dry or irritated, the hair tends to be dull, break, and fall out. Here are our tips for a healthy scalp and promoting hair growth.

How to take care of your scalp?

Step 1: Exfoliate the scalp

Detoxifying your scalp is a crucial step for healthy, shiny hair! It needs to be aerated and purified of all accumulated residues (pollution particles, styling products, limescale), excess sebum, and dandruff.

Every two weeks, apply a gentle aloe vera scalp scrub, section by section on your scalp. Massage for a few minutes then rinse.
The scalp massage helps to relax, and combined with our Pure Scrub, it will clean and purify the scalp in one step. A crucial step for healthy hair and promoting growth.

Step 2: An oil bath

To repair the hair fiber from roots to ends, what better than an oil bath? This deep treatment made of vegetable oils will give shine and softness to the hair, plump the fiber, and reduce breakage.

On dry hair, before your shampoo, apply a vegetable-based Hair Oil all over your hair. Massage your scalp with your fingertips in small circular motions to stimulate microcirculation and thus hair growth. The massage will activate the hydrating and nourishing properties of the hair oil. Leave on for 20 minutes.

Step 3: Use a gentle shampoo

It is important to use a gentle shampoo without sulfates or silicones to avoid irritating the scalp. Ideally, do a maximum of two shampoos per week to regulate sebum production.

How to properly apply your shampoo? Thoroughly wet your hair with lukewarm water, then apply your shampoo to your scalp, focusing on the edges of your head where sweat is most often found. Gently massage your scalp without rubbing your lengths to avoid damaging them, then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.

Our little tip: brush your hair every night to spread the sebum naturally produced by our scalp to protect your hair. By regularly brushing your hair, you distribute this sebum and stimulate hair growth.
