Today we introduce you to Adeline Rapon, a sunny, committed and determined Shaeri girl - and a true jack-of-all-trades. Adeline was one of the very first fashion bloggers in France, and she is now a jeweler. On insta, with her 60K followers, she talks about fashion, beauty, society, feminism... And she has a lot to tell us about her hair, her relationship to beauty and her heritage.
So tell us Adeline, who are you?
My name is Adeline Rapon, I've been a blogger/instagrammer since 2008 but I'm also a full-time jeweler.
Tell us a little about your job?
It's a little known profession because it's quite confidential, but basically I work with gold, platinum and the structure of a jewel.
And your dream curls, where do they come from?
I'm mixed Martinique and Corrèzienne, and on the wheel of a thousand possibilities it gave a good 3C with not much hair hahaha!
Tell us a little about your hair adventures: what was your journey?
Despite all the care and love my mom gave my hair when I was little, I ended up giving in to my "straight" environment of the early 2000's and straightened, ironed and burned my hair until I was 24. From then on, I had everything cut to start again on a good basis, but especially to learn how to take care of it and live with it.
The 3 questions we ask all our Shaeri girls:
What is your #hairtop?
Probably the time I wanted to do like M.I.A and bleach my hair tips, except that it was absurd for the hairdresser (it was just before the fashion of the ombré hair), and that she made me a beautiful yellow chick, finished with a quick blow-dry with a brush that made my hair all foamy.
In short I paid after tying my hair. And the yellow part fell out after a few days!
And do you have a #hairtips?
Go for natural products or products with natural ingredients. It's changed my life!
