Youmna is a queen!
"You should meet Youmna", Mai said to me, while we were preparing the shooting of "des cheveux et des femmes"... and I met her, via Skype while she was in New York! We talked for a long time about us, our background, and how, each in her own way, we try to create something positive "in a world of brutes".
Youmna is the founder of Live Love Beirut, a project that "came out of a cry" at a time when the situation was very difficult in Lebanon: with a simple hashtag and a small bracelet, she succeeded, with her best friend, in creating hope, in awakening the conscience of the Lebanese, and in mobilizing the civil society! Today it's 320K Lebanese who follow Live Love Beirut on Instagram, with the Ministry of Tourism and the UN as partners, and the concept has been taken up in Egypt, Spain, in 25 countries and soon in other countries... we hope!
Youmna is a free woman and so is her hair. She is nomadic and lives in 4 different countries: her hair is curly when she is in Lebanon or in Greece, and it's neat in New York or in Paris!
