Le Shampoing Magic Cactus

shampoing figue de barbarie

Everything you always wanted to know about prickly pear oil shampoo.

At the origin of the first Shaeri line, there is the desire to offer a complete and simple routine for your hair. And there is also (and above all) the conviction that the best way to take care of your hair is to use the most natural products possible... starting with the shampoo!
Shaeri shampoo contains 95.34% natural ingredients, but it's mostly because of what it does NOT contain that it will do you good! Bye-bye parabens, silicones, sulfates and mineral oils... hello efficiency, naturalness and sensoriality!

We start with the basics: go "sulfate free"!

All shampoos contain surfactants, which are used to disperse fatty substances in water. But you should know that there are different types of surfactants... some of which are much (much!) more harmful than others! The best known are sodium laureth sulfate (SLES) and sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), which irritate and attack the scalp, and make hair dry and brittle... but since they are not expensive, they are used in most ordinary shampoos. Fortunately, there are also non-irritating, non-polluting, plant-based surfactants. These are the ones used in the so-called "natural" shampoos. They are made from amino acids, sugars or vegetable oils (Coco Glucoside, Lauryl Glucoside, Disodium Cocoyl Glutamate...).

Silicone, our enemy

We have almost all used and abused, silicones, these "miracle molecules" present in most hair products (to recognize silicones in the formulas, it's easy: look for names ending with "thicone", "thiconol", "silane" and "siloxane"). They cover the hair with a smooth film, which facilitates detangling and gives the impression that the hair is ultra-shiny... But beware, danger, it is a vicious circle! Silicones end up suffocating and drying out the hair - and then they are a real barrier to other treatments... And to top it all off, they're big polluters. Our point of view on this is therefore clear: banning silicones is one of the keys to having beautiful and healthy hair - and incidentally to save the planet ;) In short, you'll understand: goodbye silicone... so long my friend! And to help you take the step to "zero silicone", we give you here the instructions: you'll see, it's a bit like a detox! First of all, your hair will gradually get rid of silicones, and you will go through a strange phase during which it will not be as usual... This phase lasts 2 to 3 weeks, but be patient, it's really worth it, because then your hair will have a new life!

Prickly Pear Oil + Shea Butter = the perfect combo

The mixture of these two ingredients is the perfect combination of two ancestral "super ingredients"! Prickly pear seed oil, our "magic oil", very rich in vitamin E, regenerates and deeply moisturizes the hair. It is associated with shea butter, very rich in fatty acids and vitamins A, D, E and F. Shea butter penetrates the hair fiber deeply and makes the hair soft and silky.  Rich in vitamin A, shea butter allows the scalp to rehydrate. It acts effectively against dry dandruff and scalp flaking.

A natural shampoo that smells good... is it possible?

Our formulas have been worked out in a fair balance between efficiency and naturalness, because washing your hair should be a moment of relaxation and PLEASURE. Our shampoo contains just the right amount of fragrance to perfume your hair (and your bathroom!), and the quality of the fragrance used is 100% in line with the naturalness requirements of our products. We interviewed a lot of Shaeri girls, and there is a magic #hairtips that always comes back...Half an hour before your shampoo (or even better, the night before!), apply a mixture of natural oils all over your hair, insisting on the lengths and the ends, then wrap your hair in a towel or under a turban. Leave it on, then wash your hair as usual... You'll see, your hair will be deeply nourished and "ready" for its care routine!

What if you went natural?
